1st Grade is currently finishing up their wild things. We read the book, “Wild Things”, and then they used shape and line to create silly looking monsters. The 1st grade is then going to be creating fall trees with texture and trinket printing. This project connects with their science discovery unit. They will be discovering that using different textures create different looks. They will also be dipping different objects in paint to print those on their trees for leaves.

Do You Have a Hat? This lesson focused on expressing an idea through a self portrait, a background and a type of hat. This also falls under the theme of storytelling for the 1st graders. My student teacher, Alysa Zion's lesson is attached here. |
