Karen PatrumArt has always been a strong passion of mine since I can remember. I have always loved to create and problem solve through art. My current mediums of choice are glass and wood, oil pastel, and acrylic paint.
I received a BA from Fort Lewis with an emphasis in Printmaking and a minor in Psychology. I then received my K-12 Art endorsement from Fort Lewis as well and began teaching art at Needham Elementary and Animas Valley in 2007. I remain at Needham full time and LOVE what I get to do everyday. As art has inspired me and motivated me, I want to instill the love of art on every child. My goal as a teacher is for my studnets to say, "I Can...". I want every student to leave my classroom feeling proud and confident of what they learned and accomplished. |

Fused Glass inlayed in Pine
Fused glass has always been a strong interest of mine. A few recent pieces I've created have involved inlaying fused glass pieces into different types of wood.
